Lifelong Learning has become a fundamental goal of recent education policies, often advocated as a way to achieve socio-economic development and as a tool for promoting the ‘knowledge-based’ society.

Programme
The European Masters in Lifelong Learning is a trans-national programme, which means that students will visit at least two European countries during their studies.
The programme is completed over 2 years and consists of 6 modules, each totalling 15 ECTS credits, and a dissertation totalling 30 ECTS credits.

The first year

In their first year students can choose between the Danish School of Education in Copenhagen and the Institute of Education in London.

The second year

In the second year, all students will go to the University of Deusto in Bilbao in Spain. Regardless of where you decide to go, you will be taught by leading experts in the field of Lifelong Learning.

MA LLL Scholarships

The European Commission offers scholarships for 3rd country (non-EU) students and scholars.

The deadline for Erasmus Mundus scholarship applications for the academic year 2009/2010 is 31 December 2008.

For non-EU students

For each student the scholarship amounts to 21,000 Euro per academic year. This includes 10 monthly grants of 1,600 Euro and a fixed amount of 5,000 Euro for fees, travel expenses, relocation costs, etc. For courses lasting two years, the student receives double this amount, i.e. 42,000 Euro.

The geochemistry group in the department of geological sciences, University of Manitoba have funds to support several M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. Projects include ore deposits, evolution of seawater and atmospheric composition, tectonics and geochronology.
Students interested in the application of stable and radiogenic isotopes to these or similar geological projects are encouraged to apply. The department of Geological Sciences has recently acquired several new instruments including, two Delta V Plus with peripherals for the analysis of H, C, O, N and S, and a Cameca 7f magnetic sector secondary ion mass spectrometer (SIMS) for light and heavy isotopic analysis. These new labs complement the X-ray and microbeam facilities, which include SX100 electron microprobe, SEM, LA-ICP- MS, FTIR, Mossbauer, and powder and single crystal diffractometers.

SINGAPORE SCHOLARSHIP INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/2010

The Singapore Government awards the scholarship to Government-endorsed students from the other member countries of the ASEAN. Each Scholarship is for a full-time undergraduate degree course at the Nanyang Technological University, the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Management University. All disciplines except for Medicine and Dentistry are open to Scholars. The duration of each scholarships is for three or four years, depending on the discipline.
The award based on academic merit and places will allocated by open competition. If necessary, a one-year bridging or foundation programme, in addition to the undergraduate studies, will be provided.

To be eligible, a candidate must:

* Be a citizen in an ASEAN country (Except Singapore)
* Possess excellent academic records; and
* Have a good command of English

Candidates must meet the entry requirements for Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, and Singapore Management University. A recipient of the Scholarship may not concurrently hold any other Scholarship, Fellowship, Grant or Award without prior approval of the Singapore Government. The Scholars are also expected to return to their countries upon graduation to contribute to the development of their countries.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees for the duration of the award, a living allowance of S$4,300 per annum, an accommodation allowance based on the different room rates at each university and one return economy class air ticket passage from his/her home country to Singapore for the duration of studies.

II. Syarat Pendaftaran :
1. Warga Negara Indonesia
2. Berusia serendah-rendahnya 18 tahun dan paling tinggi 35 tahun dihitung sampai dengan 01 Februari 2009, bagi Tenaga Pendidik dan Tenaga Kesehatan setinggi-tingginya 40 tahun bagi mereka yang bekerja pada instansi pemerintah atau lembaga swasta yang berbadan hukum yang menunjang kepentingan nasional secara terus menerus dengan masa kerja 11 tahun 10 bulan dihitung sampai dengan 01 Februari 2009 (sesuai Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 11 Tahun 2002) dengan melampirkan fotocopy sah Surat Keputusan/bukti pengangkatan pertama sampai dengan pengangkatan terakhir, dari kepala/pimpinan instansi pemerintah/lembaga swasta nasional yang dilegalisir oleh pejabat yang berwenang.
3. Sehat jasmani dan rohani berdasarkan surat keterangan dokter pemerintah.
4. Tidak pernah dihukum penjara atau kurungan berdasarkan putusan pengadilan yang telah mempunyai kekuatan hukum yang tetap karena melakukan suatu tindak pidana kejahatan.
5. Tidak pernah diberhentikan dengan hormat tidak atas permintaan sendiri atau tidak dengan hormat sebagai PNS/Anggota TNI/Anggota Kepolisian Negara, atau diberhentikan tidak dengan hormat sebagai pegawai swasta.
6. Tidak berkedudukan sebagai Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil/Pegawai Negeri Sipil.
7. Mempunyai pendidikan, kecakapan, keahlian dan ketrampilan yang diperlukan.
8. Mempunyai integritas tinggi dan berkelakukan baik.
9. Tidak menjadi anggota atau pengurus parpol.
10. Berasal dari sekolah/Akademi/PTN/PTS yang terakreditasi atau telah mendapat izin penyelenggaraan dari Dirjen DIKTI.

III. Ketentuan Pendaftaran
1. Lamaran dikirim melalui Pos tercatat mulai tanggal 15 s.d 24 November 2008 (stempel pos) dengan menggunakan amplop FLATE RATE yang tersedia di Kantor Pos.
2. Bagi pelamar yang mengirim lamaran sebelum dan sesudah tanggal ditetapkan tidak akan diproses.
3. Tidak menerima surat lamaran yang diantar langsung.
4. Surat lamaran ditulis tangan sendiri dengan tinta hitam dan ditandatangani sendiri oleh pelamar (bermaterai Rp. 6000,-) dengan mencantumkan :

TECHNO COMMERCIAL ENGINEER (TC)
Responsible for project execution for our customers, clarification of specification, cost estimation, project control and monitoring. To manage these project on schedule within the accepted quality standard and specification are the most exciting challenges for the position.

BRANCH MANAGER (BM)
Responsible for the sales and operational target Branch, promoting, offering, selling Schneider offers and technology. To search new prospect customers, maintain the existing customers and manage the sales team.

ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (ED)
Responsible for the Low Voltage and Medium Voltage design engineering to meet customer requirements and adapted to production capabilities.

TOOLING ENGINEER (TE)
Responsible to manage dies and molds capacity and quality, to audit vendor on mold setting parameter and maintenance. Also responsible to design jig and fixture to support production.

METHOD ENGINEER (ME)
Responsible to improve quality & productivity of the process by improving jigs and fixture design, implementing Poke yoke, eliminates wastes. To improve overall production process flow and layout including visual management.

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (MT)
Responsible for effective preventive maintenance and spare parts control, to assure production benches and machine testing are in good condition.

PROCESS QUALITY ENGINEER (PQ)
Responsible to drive quality improvements and ensure that production are comply with the requirements, to improve yield and reduce non quality cost.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR (SS)
Responsible to manage overall production operations by improving team works and skills of the team and drive continuous improvements, to act as Management representative during night shift production.

PPIC STAFF (PP)
Responsible to increase plant efficiency and to follow up production order schedule and components availability. Also responsible to reduce inventory ratio, able to provide delivery time of sales order/project accurately to sales / customer.

HR SENIOR EXECUTIVE (HR)
Responsible for most aspect of human resources but main focus will be more on Recruitment and Training, to provide services to all divisions (commercial, industrial and support) as well as to branch offices.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

PS : S1 degree in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of electrical network structure & protection, marketing plan and management.

SE : D3 or S1 degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Control, strong drive to achieve sales target, willing to be placed in our branches within Indonesia.

TC : S1 degree in Electrical Engineering (Power or Control), good knowledge of project management.

BM : S1 degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, strong leadership competency and potentialities with work orientation on result and target, willing to be placed in our branches within Indonesia.

ED : D3 or S1 degree in Electrical Engineering, able to operate AutoCad.

TE : D3 or S1 degree in Mechanical Engineering majoring in Tool maker from reputable University, able to operate AutoCad, good knowledge and previous exposure with injection molding suppliers or supplier development.

ME : S1 degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering majoring in Tool maker, able to operate AutoCad, Visual basic, good knowledge and previous exposure on Poke yoke, Kaizen, Lean and six sigma.

MT : S1 degree in Electro mechanic or Electrical Engineering, familiar with PLC, Pneumatic and electrical welding.

PQ : S1 degree in Electrical Engineering, good knowledge and previous exposure on Six Sigma Green Belts/Black Belts.

SS : S1 in Industrial or Electrical Engineering, good knowledge and previous exposure on Poke yoke, Kaizen, Lean and six sigma.

PP : S1 in Industrial or Electrical Engineering.

HR : Possesses good knowledge and understanding on human resources method, concept and best practices. Hands on experience on recruitment, training & development, job evaluation system, human resources information system. Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and assignment yet maintain and foster good team work. Resourceful and innovative, has strong drive and perseverance in
problem solution.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience at relevant position and industry: 2-4 years for Engineers, Supervisor or Executive, and minimum 5 years for Manager.
• Able to communicate in English, Computer literate (Ms. Office).
• Fast learning, good analytical skill & posses strong drive.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge and previous exposure with Schneider products in Medium and Low Voltage are definite advantages.
